Tonight I'm headed to the Gothic Theatre in Denver, CO to witness one of my favorite bands, The Dandy Warhols, perform one of my favorite albums of all time, Thirteen Tales From Urban Bohemia, in its entirety.
13 Tales has long been by go-to album for "mellowing out" or reflecting. I often have it on when I'm feeling creative, or to help me feel creative. I've been pretty vocal in the past about bands playing albums in their entirety, feeling it was a gimmick for bands past their prime, but the trend hasn't gone away, and this particular set intrigues me.
Part of my love for the album is how well crafted of an experience it is overall, so now we'll see how it translates live. At the very least, I can tell you I'll be bouncing and signing along with every word of Bohemian Like You:
