One Minute of Plain Jane Automobile Awesomeness

Last night I attended a rocking show in Chicago at Martyrs’ featuring local standouts Model Stranger and Rabble Rabble alongside Austin, TX’s Courrier and Orlando, FL’s Plain Jane Automobile. I was most interested in seeing PJA as I have been digging their music hard since Model Stranger’s Stephen Francis introduced me to them when I toured with MS a while back. The song “Close My Eyes” particularly stuck with me. It was the perfect track for driving across the country with the windows rolled down and the warm summer air blowing in, as we were doing.

When a friend and I arrived at Martyrs’ we were greeted by a few Model Stranger fans we knew that told us “the band in there right now fucking rocks”. We entered and immediately my friend (who I should mention almost exclusively listens to rap) confirmed that report.

As expected, I was captivated by Plain Jane Automobile. So much so that it didn’t even occur to me until what ended up being the final minute of their final song to record something to share. So here for you, I have One Minute of Plain Jane Automobile Awesomeness.

If you want more awesomeness check out this recording by the always wonderful Secret Note Shows. I think the whole set is up on the YouTube channel in pieces:
